We have known each other most of our lives through our church.  We both attended Missouri State University in Springfield and Cyrena even rented my house for a semester with two of her bridesmaids after I graduated.  We were also each others go to wedding dates whenever we needed one.  We have gone to 12 weddings together over the years.  We started dating in December of 2010 and have been together ever since.      

Over the past few years we have been able to travel together often:

Our first trip together was to San Fransisco.  This was my first time to visit California.  The highlight of our trip was brunch in Sausalito on the San Fran Bay on our way to Napa Valley for a wine tour.      

Our next big trip together was to Las Vegas.   We had each been to Vegas numerous times seperately.  We spent an entire day riding a bus to the Grand Canyon where Cyrena went out on the Sky Walk.  I am pretty scared of heights so I had to pass on the Sky Walk.

A few months later we flew to Washington D.C. We rode segways around our Capital the first night we were there.  The next day we drove to Baltimore and watched The Preakness horse race.  It was both of our first times to go to a horse race.  We would like to go to The Belmont and The Kentucky Derby in the future.

We drove to Atlanta last summer with her family to visit some of her extended family.  We stopped outside of Atlanta at Matthews Cafateria for lunch as I had seen them profiled on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network.  The main activity during our trip to Atlanta was to visit the Georgia Aquarium.  

Our next BIG travel is the honeymoon, which is Eric's first International trip! Greece has always been a place on my bucket list, and Eric was wanting to do a cruise for the honeymoon, so we combined that for a Greek Isle cruise! We will be flying into Athens and staying 2 nights then boarding a Greek cruise line for a 7 night cruise. 

It starts off with a stop in Istanbul, Turkey then goes to Santorini, Kusadasi, Crete, Rhodes, Symi, Chios, & Mykonos. We will get a chance to see some of the bigger and smaller islands of Greece with the beautiful beaches and amazing sunsets as well as some of the historical religious areas Greece has. 

Cyrena and I would like to thank all of our wonderful family and friends for simply being here for us. You all have done so much and have made such a remarkable positive difference in our lives.
